Mobile Military Air-Conditioning & Climate Control

With a global customer base, CMCA's systems are proven in all environmental conditions, from snow storm to sand storm, providing mission critical Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditiong & Cooling for both equipment and personnel. As a project driven organisation, systems are designed and built to customers exacting technical and commercial requirements to deliver the optimum HVAC solution, a COTS range consists of battlefield proven air-conditioners which can be adapted to meet specific requirements. 

Systems are tested to the most demanding of requirements, including climatic conditions from -46°C to +63°C and EMC performance to Def Stan 59 411 Land Class A, MIL STD 461 and TEMPEST, with low acoustic signatures through innovative acoustic, thermal and EMC attenuating enclosures. Various paint finishes are available including Infrared reflective (IRR) Matt paint and Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) Standard 80-208.

Specifically designed as a small compact ‘ruggedised’ air conditioning unit for the cooling and heating of a ‘closed loop’ transit case containing customer specific electronic equipment the MPA-100 is capable of deployment in demanding ambient temperature conditions, as defined in DEF STAN 00-35 climatic categories A1 to C0. Operationally it is directly coupled to the transit case and creates an internally ‘sealed’ environment between +30˚C to +35˚C utilising an integral intelligent control system that provides visual alarms with ‘blackout’ capability.

 

It can also connect to the Users own data system in order to provide remote indication of operational status and ‘fault’ alarms. It currently interfaces with an Zarges Mitraset 19” transit case, can be adapted to any type as required and utilises a refrigeration circuit that is hermitically sealed for leak free reliability. Constructed from lightweight aluminium it is man-portable and rapidly deployable. Coupled to the CMCA MPG-003-LD for rapidly deployable cooling and power for front line operations.

The C120-S is a ‘ruggedized’ air conditioning unit designed for climate control for both equipment and operators within rapid deployable shelters. The unit can either be trailer or skid mounted, and is externally connected to the shelter via insulated flexible ducting to provide a constant flow of filtered ‘fresh-air’ into the shelter. It has a single refrigeration circuit which is ‘hermetically’ sealed for “leak free’ reliability as well as an electrical heating system with integral control system, which maintains an internal shelter temperature between +18 degrees C and +30 degrees C.

 

It also has the option of being fitted with an on-board ‘dry powder’ fire suppression system. It is quite simply a ‘connect and forget’ system. Dependent upon the geographical location to be deployed manufacture can be in either ‘zintec’ coated mild steel or corrosion resistant stainless steel. Paint finish is currently powder coated for durability with colour and finish entirely upon customer requirements. The footprint of the C120-S allows 2 units to fit side by side on an air cargo pallet and the unit can be operated in extreme environments as defined in DEF STAN 00-35 climatic categories A1 to C2 It requires a 400/460V 3 phase 50/60Hz power supply and has a ‘Pilot Earth Monitoring’ system and FEPDS type mains connector fitted. It can be fitted with a ‘latching’ ON/OFF push button for unmanned remote sites for automatic start-up on power reinstatement. Remote HUMS is also available either wired or wireless. 

C250

Designed for climate control for both equipment and operators within rapid deployable shelters the C250-S ACU has a ‘ruggedized’ design for Military applications and can either be trailer or skid mounted. The C250-S has two independent refrigeration circuits that provide 2 stages of cooling and each circuit is ‘hermetically’ sealed for ‘leak free’ reliability, there are also 2 stages of electrical heating.

 

It has an integral control system to maintain an internal temperature between +18degC and +30degC and an option exists for a fitted on-board ‘dry powder’ fire suppression system. CMCA’s TX-300 is a ruggedized, deployable air dehumidifier designed to support military equipment in extreme environments. The system utilises a hermetically sealed refrigeration pack to promote condensation within the enclosure, removing moisture from the environment whilst also providing sensible heating. Available as a through air or ducted system the TX-300 is proven to maintain an acceptable environment for equipment including containerised systems and vehicles during storage and operation in areas of high humidity.


The TX-300 utilises an intelligent control system to autonomously maintain the relative humidity to under 50% whilst providing visual status indication, the indication panel can be internally or externally mounted to allow visual situation awareness without breaking the environmental seal into the conditioned environment.
The system is highly efficient and highly effective in extracting moisture from the environment, critical when employed to support electronic assets in humid environments and during storage.
